Cubles iPhone Game Review

Cubles is another one of the top rated free puzzle apps on the iTunes marketplace this week.

The very cartoon-inspired game involves exactly what the title would infer: cubes, or at least squares and rectangles. The point of Cubles is to tap-and-drag a corner of one colored square to create a square or rectangle with corners the same color as the original square. As confusing as that sounds, the game is actually relatively simple. If the player taps a red square, they must then proceed to drag their finger across the screen until each corner of the selected area is also on a red square. Each level is timed and has additional objectives beyond the regular objective of accumulating squares/rectangles. Larger selections equal more points than smaller ones (simple 2x2 selections giving the player the lowest amount of points). Overall Cubles is an entertaining game, although somewhat simplistic in nature.
