The Zombies, Run! fitness app is an interactive running game. The game guides you through zombie-apocalypse-themed missions with a variety of audio narrations. The application is capable of recording the distance, time, pace, and amount of calories burned per running mission via GPS. Throughout the game, your character collects supplies which are used to survive the zombie apocalypse. As an added bonus, you can choose the zombie chase option, which requires you to run faster for some time, or else you get “caught” by zombies, which means you lose the mission.
Picture this as the interactive version of Temple Run and an excellent way to prepare for a race or marathon. As someone who is currently trying to get back up to pace for a 5k this January, I can tell you that Zombies, Run! is an awesome application that will not only help you get faster, it provides seemingly endless entertainment.
When you survive, you can see your mileage and pacing on Zombies, Run!’s website. For $8.00, you can get fit in a fun way. No gym, no competition except yourself. It’s easy to work at your own pace until you get to where you’re satisfied. You can still run with your own music as well, which will hopefully only make it easier to run quickly!
