What’s The Word? by Banana & Co. is a fun little game on mobile markets these days.
But that’s about it – What’s The Word? is only kind of fun, and after awhile it starts to get boring. As interesting as it may seem at first, What’s The Word? lacks any amount of real playability and, ultimately, does nothing to set itself apart from the dozens of other picture guessing games out there right now.
We’ve seen the concept before; the player is given four pictures and an assortment of letters, and then they have to find the word that matches each picture. So if the pictures, for example, show a red balloon, a red bike, a red Solo cup, and a red lollipop, the correct word is probably “red”. These pictures and letters are paired with hints (as if this game isn’t easy enough as is), which can be purchased via using in-game funds acquired by guessing correctly.
There’s nothing brilliant about this game, and unless you really need another app on your phone (and you don’t), don’t bother wasting the space.
