Timberman Tips #1: Find Your Rhythm
The most important thing to remember when playing Timberman is to maintain your rhythm. It’s not exactly in the rhythm genre, exactly. But it’ll still help a lot. Remember when you were playing Flappy Bird and would “bounce” on the background? You want to do the same thing whenever you play a game of Timberman.
When you get into a rhythm, you can judge how many taps you have until you need to switch sides of the tree. Just knowing you have a branch over your head doesn’t help if you don’t know how long it’ll take for the branch to crush you.
Timberman Tips #2: Gotta Go Fast
This isn’t to say that you can just settle into a leisurely groove and tap your way to victory. The red meter at the top measures your energy, which is always going down. If you run out, you’re dead. You can only get energy back if you tap fast.
The in-game music is not very helpful for getting into a good, fast groove. The sound effects can also be really distracting! We recommend you turn off the sound and throw on some energetic music you enjoy instead. The Clash is a good example.
Timberman Tips #3: Know When to Speed Up
Just getting into a rhythm isn’t enough. You also need to know when to break that rhythm. If you see a large section of the tree above your character that has no branches, tap as quickly as you can until one appears. That’s your chance to get tons of energy before getting back into your rh
