Temple Run App Review
Race through the ancient ruins of the temple walls with the cursed Aztec idol you have stolen in Temple Run. Beware of the group of Demon Monkeys that are after you to get back their precious idol. In order to conquer the monkeys and bring the idol home you will have to run, jump, slide, and turn on the poor structure of the temple walls. Fulfill the required task to unlock each Temple Run achievement. There are 22 achievements in total. As you become captivated with the Temple Run’s addictive qualities, progression through the game leads to the unlocking of different objectives; some include boosters for speed, the ability to unlock new characters that possess more admirable traits for escaping the temple, and overall a variation of goals one seeks to achieve.
Throughout your escape from the temple, one will come to meet many challenges. We have the wild monkeys that arise sporadically throughout the game and will race after your player. We also encounter breaks in the ruin grounds, causing the player to shift left and right to avoid falling into the depths. There is a fire barrier as well as tree tunnels, which by using the touch screen and sliding down, you can slither underneath the obstacles and amount on the other side and continue your race. Besides sliding, one must leap over the tree stumps, which are strategically placed throughout the progression of the game. To utilize this feature, you must slide your fingers up the screen in order to leap over the logs. After completion, you will continue to run.
Temple Run Game Guide
As the Temple Run progresses the player starts to move more rapidly. You can actually trip on purpose to slow your player down. This will help you refocus and not be as anxious when your player is moving so fast. But be careful not to trip more than once because on the second trip the monkeys will catch you. The easiest way to trip is by not avoiding the smaller tree root, walk right over it.
The key to the game is to continue a constant vigilance on the how the layout will change overtime. As you continue playing you will notice that the turns, obstacles, and breaks in ruins will become more prominent, to the point where you are constantly jumping, sliding, and turning to keep up with the ever increasing pace of the game. One must not loose sight of the coins as well, as they will help rank points and help lead to the unlocking of players and boosters.
The coin collect is one of the most important parts of the game; overtime you will notice a change in colors. The coins will transition from gold to blue and red; as you get further into the game the other colors will surmount and are worth more values. However, you must be wise in how you use your coins, whether it be on character upgrades, or boosters. The downside to the boosters, especially the speed ones, is that it is hard to navigate your character when you are moving at such a fast pace, so keep that in mind.
Temple Run Game Guide
-Tilt to the small side of the little tree root and you don’t have to jump over it!
-Always make sure rock jumps are in the center of the screen.
-You can purposely trip over a tree root to slow yourself down, but don’t hit two tree roots in a row!
-Buy a head start for 2,500 coins in the store under utilities. Double tap your screen to use the head start.
-To get the Mega Bonus, collect 100 coins without tripping four times in one run.
-In the beginning, use the coin magnet power up. Save the resurrection and boosts for later when you are really pushing for that high score.
-Double resurrection in one run: purchase two resurrections and double tap before dying to be resurrected. You can do this again after running 1000 meters.
