The picture and word guessing puzzle games have taken both Google Play and the App Store by storm in recent months, but with little alteration to the general format. Usually, the levels in these games consist of a number of pictures and a word bank to help the player guess the answer. Pixwords does things a little differently, by adding in the aspect of a crossword puzzle in each level! Rather than have each level consist of only one answer, the levels in Pixwords consist of a crossword puzzle that has multiple answers the player must guess!
When the player taps either a horizontal or vertical word space, a word bank and a picture for that word will appear to help the player guess the answer. In Pixwords, most crosswords consist of four or five words. However, what is so unique about this game is that the more answers you get correct in a level, the easier it becomes!
For example, we can take a look at the first level. When clicking on the first word, we are given a word bank and a picture of a person reaching for an apple. Since the word is 10 letters long, we can see that the word “Temptation” will fit the requirements!
Moving on from the first word, we can now click any other word to get a new picture and word bank. Solving this word will be slightly easier, because we have a letter already filled out. The picture for this second word is of an alarm clock. Since the word is only five letters long, and the letter “A” is the third letter in the word, it seems safe to assume that “Alarm” is the answer, and not “Clock”!
When guessing our third word, “Oven,” we already had a letter filled out. Since this word is quite short, it is easy to guess the correct answer. The last word, “Proposal,” is a little trickier. However, we already had two letters filled out to help us, “O” and “A”, so guessing this letter is much easier!
Tip: Before you look at the answers for the level you are stuck on, try filling out the shorter words first. This way, you will have a few letters already filled in for the longer words that can help you guess the answer for the longer words!
