Paper Bridge Walkthrough, Cheats & Solutions

Engineers-to-be will thrive at this new physics-based application, Paper Bridge. Paper Bridge is an iPhone game (Also available for the iPod Touch), where you construct bridges using a limited amount of materials. (In this case, ink). The object of Paper Bridge is to build a successful bridge out of brush strokes, using ink, so that your vehicle can get to the other side of the gap. You build your paper bridge using road cutouts (black brush) and then support cutouts (green brush), then hitting the stimulation to see if your construction will hold up or sentence your vehicle to death. Paper Bridge Walkthrough Book 1

Paper Bridge Book 1 Page 1

The very first level of this game is here to help acclimate you to constructing bridges, and introduce users to the methods and materials available to them. The first page is a relatively simple bridge to construct, the only tricky part we had was to figure out how to zoom and scroll across the page. The game begins zoomed into the left size of the bridge, so the first thing to do is to make sure to pinch zoom out, so you can see the entire chasm to be bridged. Once you have that, to drag across the screen, press down with two fingers and pull. The first bridge can be crossed using just two supports.

Paper Bridge Book 1 Page 2

The Second Page of Book One Level's bridge is very similar to the first, but for this construction you must use braces on either the top or the bottom of the bridge.

Paper Bridge Book 1 Page 3

For the third page you need to construct a similar bridge support system, it is again similar to the previous level, just longer.

Paper Bridge Book 1 Page 4

For Page 4 you are given two support joints already in place, use these to anchor the support structure during your bridge's construction.

Paper Bridge Book 1 Page 5

When construction your bridge for Book 1 Page 5, utilize the same construction methods as bridge 4, but without the supports. This level is the final one for the introductory Book 1.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 1

Book 2, or "Little bridges grow" begins with a new wrinkle of complexity to our bridge construction, building bridges on a slope. The premise behind constructing your supports is the same, continue to make your supports as symmetrical as possible, bracing them on the top or the bottom.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 2

Book 2 Page 2's level brings us our farthest gap yet - but don't fear, continue to use the same style of construction as you cross the bridge, and your vehicle will make it safely across.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 3

Book 2 Page 3's level brings us a similar bridge construction, but make sure to use the support post underneath to help brace your bridge and make it's construction even sturdier!

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 4

Book 2 Page 4 was a tricky level for us here at CAM. The best solution that we could construct just took quite a few attempts, until our heroic little vehicle could jump across the gap successfully.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 5

Book 2 Page 5 Brings us a level where we can begin constructing arches on both the top and the bottom. Using these small arches helps to support the bridge throughout, and using the support post in the middle helps to make our bridge sturdy enough to cross.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 6

Book 2 Page 6 brings us another level where we are given two support posts underneath the bridge level that we can use to help support the construction of our bridge. The triangular support system that we used seems to be quite sturdy.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 7

When constructing our bridge for Book 2, Page 7 we stuck with a standard triangular support, augmented by a single support post to the supplied one in the center of the gap.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 8

Book 2 Page 8 is another relatively simple bridge to construct, we just used the same support system with great success.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 9

Book 2 Page 9 brings us an opportunity to build a smaller triangular supports, with two posts given to us directly underneath bridge. When we constructed our bridge using them, it was no problem for our vehicles to cross.

Paper Bridge Book 2 Page 10

Book 2 Page 10 was a tricky level for us. Since the vehicle is so heavy, and the bridge distance is pretty far, we had to add in supports on the far right side, that helped to balance out some of the weight so the bridge didn't dip so low in the middle as the truck crossed.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 1

Book 3 is the Engineers Handbook - These pages are increasingly hard, and much more complex and large than the books before them. Constructing bridges across these gaps will take skill, patience, and careful planning. Book 3 Page 1 is a level where the distance between the two anchor points is the greatest yet. Constructing this bridge was not too difficult, however, with the use of our trusty triangular support system, and bracing it using the provided posts.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 2

Book 3 Page 2 is a level where we need to construct a bridge on either side of the raised island. To do this, just construct two smaller bridges, supported the same way that we have been doing so.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 3

Book 3 Page 3 is another level for the daredevil in us. The only way we could bridge this gap using the limited amount of ink provided was to create a launching ramp, as well as a lowered landing ramp for our brave rider. Since he is so light, the ramps don't require much support, but the distance is very far, so it took us quite a few attempts for a successful run. Remember that since Paper Bridge is based on a physics engine and simulates every crossing, that some crossings can be successful while others failures, using the same bridge and the same supports.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 4

Book 3 Page 4 is another large gap to cross. Constructing our tried and true support system and bracing it on the provided posts proved no trouble at all.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 5

Book 3 Page 5 brings a new challenge for this level. The incline changes the physics of creating the bridge slightly, so additional support was required. We chose to brace the top, since that was where our bridge was failing.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 6

Book 3 Page 6 is another standard gap, where if you construct your bridge using the support system and brace it on the provided post you should have no worries.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 7

To bridge the gap of Book 3 Page 7 we needed to construct a larger, arch shaped support, as well as utilizing the provided support post below the anchor point.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 8

By using the provided anchor points above the bridge level on Book 3 Page 8, we were able to shorten the supports that were needed, and used this configuration to support our bridge as we crossed.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 9

For Book 3 Page 9 we had to extend the support structure of the right hand bridge all the way over so that it linked with the anchor point of the bridge on the left hand side, and when we did this, our bridge managed to stay up and ferry our vehicles across.

Paper Bridge Book 3 Page 10

Book 3 Page 10 is the final level so far on Paper Bridge, and the distance is HUGE! We had to construct interlinked arches on both the top and bottom to support all the way across. Have any suggestions on any of the levels we have posted here? Make sure to let us know in the comments! We'll be back as soon as Paper Bridge gives us new levels to conquer, and new bridges to construct. Happy Building!
