MonsterCrafter Walkthrough Guide
While MonsterCrafter gives new players a short tutorial, there is still a lot in the game left unexplained. This walkthrough guide from Cool Apps Man will clear up any confusion that you may have! When you start up the game, you will be taken to a main menu that has the major features of the game: Shop, Monsters, Battle, and Friend. The Shop: The Shop is a store filled with in-app purchases available to make, and consists of various different things. Here you can buy more gold, diamonds, and items to further customize your monster. Also, every twenty-four hours you will be given a free gift that presents itself in a block-breaker mini-game. Break all the blocks until you can tap the gift to get it. Gifts can be anything from gold bonuses to more diamonds. The Monsters Menu: This takes you to the vault: the place where your monsters live outside of battle. Using gold and diamonds you can buy a number of additional vaults so you can create more monsters. When you start the game, the tutorial will take you to the vault to create your first monster. This monster can be either Fire, Water, or Plant-type, however, when you buy more vaults, you will have the option to create monsters of any type: Fire, Water, Plant, Rock, Electric, and even Alien! Building monsters of Fire, Water, and Plant-type is relatively cheap: only 300 gold. However, other types cost more money: Rock is 900 gold, Electric is 3,900 gold, and Alien is 10,500 gold. We will get more into the advantages and disadvantages of the various types of monsters later on.
In addition to housing and building new monsters, the vault is where you can train, edit, share, and even destroy your monster. Train your monster by feeding them, petting them, or playing mini-games with them, such as fetch, rock-paper-scissors or slot machines, where you can win gold and other prizes. Feeding your monster costs gold, but you are going to want to keep it properly fed and hydrated if you want it to do well in battle. Petting your monster, playing with it, and picking up after it keeps it happy and will also positively impact your performance in battle. The edit feature is where you can change the appearance of your monster and continue to build it. The share feature allows you to take screenshots of your monster and save them or email them.
The Battle Menu: The Battle Menu is where you will conduct all of your monster's battles. From here, you can choose to play with Clans, play the Campaign, or play Online. In Clans, you can create or join a clan with up to 10 players and battle cooperatively with them in dungeons. Creating a clan requires a minimum of 2 players and costs 300 gold. Campaign mode is solo, where it is only you and your monster. In Campaign mode, you advance through various settings by beating all the levels for that setting. Each level consists of a few monster battles and one boss battle at the end. Online mode is where you pit your monster against other monsters that players around the world have created. You can choose to play a quick match, where you will face a random opponent, or you can invite a friend to battle you to see who has raised the more powerful monster! The Friend Menu: The Friend Menu is where you can add friends to play with or add to your clan. Each player is given a friend code, which they can email to other players who have the game to be added as a friend. When a player gets added by somebody else, they will receive a bonus of 15 gold.

MonsterCrafter Tip #1: Collect gold and power-ups quickly at the end of each battle.
- At the end of each battle, the opponent monster will burst into a bunch of gold coins and power-ups. Collect these as quickly as you can, because the game doesn't give you much time between the end of one battle and the start of the next to pick them all up.
MonsterCrafter Tip #2: Wait to collect the hearts in battle.
- When you attack an opponent, they will litter the ground with gold, power-ups, and hearts. Collect the gold and power-ups right away, but wait until they deliver their next attack to collect the hearts. Hearts are what heal you in battle, so if you wait until the damage against you has been dealt to collect them, it will ensure that you have gotten the maximum health benefit out of each heart.
MonsterCrafter Tip #3: Use your boosts wisely during battle.
- Boosts are very helpful in battle, but you can only use one of each type per battle. Save them for when you truly need them.
MonsterCrafter Tip #4: If you need to throw your suitcase...
- Throwing the suitcase at the enemy is an effective way to deal damage, but you will lose all of the boosts inside as a result. If you need to throw your suitcase, make sure you have used what boosts you might want to use for the battle already.
MonsterCrafter Tip #5: Save your special moves for the boss of each level.
- Naturally, the bosses are the hardest opponent in each level. You can use your special moves on the first opponent, but when you are facing the second opponent, consider saving your special moves for the boss. This way, when you do face the boss, you can use a slew of special moves right off the bat and get his health down low quickly.
MonsterCrafter Tip #6: Make sure you have at least one diamond before going into battle.
- It is tough to defeat all the monsters and the boss consecutively, and it is likely that you make lose a few times. Make sure you bring a diamond into battle with you so that you can continue playing if you die, and you won't lose any of the XP or gold that you have collected thus far.
MonsterCrafter Tip #7: Take the time to keep your monster happy.
- If you keep losing battles, take some time to keep your monster happy by training it. Constantly check to see if its levels of hunger, thirst, and attention are up to par, and if they aren't, then get them up to par by feeding it and playing with it.
