Match the Dots Cheats and Hints

Match the Dots cheats, hints, and walkthroughs here at Cool Apps Man! Developed by IceMochi, LLC., Match the Dots follows the connect-the-dots tradition established by popular games like Dots and Flow Free. Given a board of bright, multi-colored dots, it's up to you to match dots of the same color. Sound easy? Think again. This game really picks up in difficulty as you go through each level. Fortunately, we have all the Match the Dots cheats, walkthroughs, and hints you need here. Read on! There's no game better suited for mobile gaming than Match the Dots. iOS software and the constraints of a mobile device make for limited gameplay. A great app knows how to use these limitations to its advantage. Match the Dots does just that. The game uses a simple, but aesthetically pleasing design. Each level consists of a white screen and a pattern of vibrant dots that make buoyant, popping sounds as you connect them. It's an easy design to get lost in, which makes this game perfect for those with long commutes or time to kill. The gameplay mirrors the game's relaxing design. You have one goal: match dots of the same color. The bigger the match, the more points you receive. To match dots, simply drag your finger from dot to dot. You can connect dots horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, as long as the dots are adjacent. In order to keep things interesting, the developers switched up each level with different objectives. Some levels have a move limit, some have a time limit, and some require you to connect a certain number of dots. The difficulty ebbs and flows as the game progresses. It definitely gets harder over time, but an easy level is sprinkled in every now and then to give the gamer a break. Unlike many popular app games, there are no hint options available for the struggling player. However, the first fifteen levels come with a substantial tutorial that spells out the game's many layers and rules. Even if the tutorial doesn't help, stick with it. This is a great game that is both well-made and a ton of fun to play. If you need help with any of the levels, look no further. We have all the Match the Dots cheats, walkthroughs, and hints you need here. Check them out below!

Match the Dots Cheats #1 - Look for the biggest combinations.

  • This might go without saying, but it's key to doing well: you need to be on the lookout for the longest chains possible.
  • In this picture, you'd go for the red first. Not only is it the longest, but clearing the red will bring the blue dots closer together.

Match the Dots Cheats #2 - Collecting colors.

  • Collect the dots levels can be the most difficult. For levels like these, strategy is key.
  • Think before making each move. In the example above, you would go for the center four red dots first. Then you would be clear to take care of the yellow. Afterwards, clearing the purple and blue would be a piece of cake.

Match the Dots Cheats #3 - Use those bombs.

  • When it comes to timed levels, your best bet is to use bombs whenever possible.
  • However, make sure to use the bomb when there are lots of similar colors on the board. You want them to have a maximum effect.

Match the Dots Cheats #4 - There are many paths to take.

  • A good Match the Dots player knows how to make the most of his combinations. With all of those dots on the screen, it's hard to notice the potential chain lengths.
  • Keep in mind that with every chain there are multiple ways to connect them. In the image above, the player could have connected the red dot on the right to his chain, but neglected to see the alternate route.

Match the Dots Cheats #5 - Know the point system.

  • If you want to hit your mark fast, it's important to know the bonuses each chain will bring you.
  • A chain of four dots will grant you a 500 point bonus.
  • A chain of seven will grant you 1,000 points.
  • A chain of ten, like the one above, will grant you 2,000 points.

Match the Dots Cheats #6 - Timed levels.

  • With timed levels, you can't be picky about your matches. It's obviously better to go for bigger matches, but an easy strategy is to take what you can get.
  • In the image above, you could very quickly make matches with two dots. This will give you less points, but it will move you towards your goal faster.
