Letris 3 Tips and Cheats Guide
Tip #1: If you are going for a high star rating:
- Don't go crazy on the objectives right off the bat. Instead, take notice of the score requirements for each star rating before starting a level, and play with making large words and getting lasers in mind.
Tip #2: Don't let the board fill up while going for a three-star rating.
- When you are trying to make longer words to get the three-star rating, make sure you don't let the board fill up and fail. This will cost you a life, and lives are limited. If you see that you are going to lose, forget the three-star rating entirely and just focus on completing the objective.
Tip #3: Don't worry so much about getting a three-star rating on the first few levels.
- When you are starting out, these levels will be hard enough until you become accustomed to the gameplay. Focus on the objectives so as not to lose lives, and then return to get the three-star rating later on; it will be much easier.
Tip #4: If you just care about passing the level:
- Don't bother with large words. While making bigger words gets you more points, they will take more time, and in the long run fill up the board more than if you made two or three smaller words.
Tip #5: Use the letter "S" to make words plural.
- Whenever you make a word, see if there is an "S" hanging around to attach on to the end to make it plural. This is a quick way to make your word one letter longer.
Tip #6: Try to get lasers often.
- Dragging your finger to make a words with letters that are next to each other will make a laser letter, which is indicated by the letter being highlighted in yellow.
Tip #7: Wait for a row to fill up before using the laser.
- Since a laser destroys a whole row of letters, wait for the row to be filled up before using it. This way, you will get the maximum use out of your laser and will get the most points.
Tip #8: Kill the monsters with short, easy-to-make words.
- After a short period of time, the monster will create a new row of letters to contend with on the bottom. To combat this, make a bunch of short words with letters adjacent to the monster. This will hurt him the most and you will be able to keep a good pace of removing letters from the board to counteract the new ones that the monster makes.
Tip #9: Getting more lives:
- It is very likely that you will fail quite a bit in the earlier levels and run through your limited amount of lives. You can choose to wait until the timer is over to get more, or you can pay a small one-time price for unlimited lives, which can be worth it.
