Horn Game App Review
Horn, the new action-adventure game developed by Phosphor Games and published by Zynga, was released on Thursday for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Horn has received much attention as a game changer of mobile gaming, being one of the first touch-screen apps to offer an original and high-quality gaming experience. The running story of Horn is based loosely on the Old English Tales of King Horn. In this third-person action game for mobile and tablet devices, you are a blacksmith’s apprentice named Horn who must escape his village that has been possessed by monsters. Horn incorporates action, combat, adventure, puzzle, storytelling and graphics at a level that has yet to be seen in the mobile application landscape.
Navigate throughout the village by tapping the screen where you want to move Horn. Attack monsters with your sword and crossbow by swiping the screen. The storytelling aspect of Horn is thoughtfully developed and evolves throughout the gameplay. Characters are fully voiced and developed as the game integrates the perfect amount of time spent in the cut-scene. Horn‘s storytelling is what really makes the game shine and comparable to a console or PC video game experience. Horn can be purchased in the iTunes app store for $6.99 and is said to be released for Android soon.
Horn is the first game to launch under the Zynga Partners for Mobile program, a partner program for mobile game developers. Combining Zynga’s expansive social network with seasoned game developers like Phosphor Games and Atari makes the Zynga Partners for Mobile program an innovative and noteworthy move in the mobile gaming industry
