Game of War Tip 1: Build your village The easiest--but perhaps most tedious--part of the game is just building up your village. Make sure you have a farm, barracks, hospitals and an academy. In your barracks, you'll build up your troops, in hospitals, you'll tend to your troops and the academy may seem less interesting--but it'll offer your kingdom access to new technologies. Bonus: don't forget to regularly upgrade your kingdom's stronghold--it will give you more opportunity to upgrade aspects of your kingdom and also increase defense. Game of War Tip 2: Join an alliance In this game, you're better offer strategizing with other alliances than working alone. Find a local alliance and join up with them--you'll be glad you do when rival armies come into your area. Bonus: the more you help your alliance, the more loyalty points and gold you'll earn. **Game of War Tip 3: Put farms and food output first** You can your farms and food output to be upgraded (or at a higher level) than anything else. Why? Well, if you want to grow and keep a killer army, you'll need to feed them! Troops devour a lot of resources, so make sure you're in a position to produce a lot of food (through farms). Bonus: Upgrade your warehouse to the highest level possible: it will help you protect goods. Every upgrade level lets the Warehouse in your game store 50,000 more of every resource.
Game of War Tip 4: Stock up on hospitals While building a hospital isn't necessarily as fun as waging a battle, it's a necessity to help your troops. Having multiple upgraded hospitals will decrease healing time and help rebuild your defenses and fortresses. Game of War Tip 5: Stock up on chest resources A healthy building in Game of War means a healthy army (as you can tell by the necessity of a strong hospital). Make sure to construct buildings that also can make resources and then remember to open up the chests you find in game--also, note: these don't go into your overall resource pile but your inventory. Game of War Tip 6: Keep Track of the red dotted line When you see an infringing red dotted line, this means an enemy army is approaching. Use this knowledge to gamble on whether you want to attack now or later, most times, you're better off letting the army settle and then swooping in for an old-fashion slaughtering.

So the faster you research, the faster you'll be able to advance to your army's levels of power.
