Fish out of water tells the story of a family of fish who just want to feel the wind on their faces and then sun on their fins. The family includes Olympus, the happy yellow fish, Errol, the bouncing green fish, Finlay, the quick purple dolphin (and technically mammal), Micro, the high flying whale (and other mammal), Rocket, the speedy red fish, and the brothers, who just like to have fun. You get the fish to jump out of the water by selecting a fish from the group of friends, and then dragging your finger across the screen to launch the fish into the air. The fish will then fly a certain distance and a certain number of skips. Once you have thrown three fish, a group of five crabs will judge your jumps based on distance and number of skips. The higher your score, the better you do in the game! The game sounds simple, and the earlier levels are. But there are a lot of obstacles in this game that make it tricky. For starters, the weather changed in the game about every five minutes. The nicer the weather, the better the fish jump, so you want to optimize your jumps to try to avoid the bad weather. In addition, there are three goals that you have to complete in order to beat each level. Some goals are relatively easy, like throwing three fish, but some are much more challenging, like getting your fish to leap through a ring. Each time you complete a level you get to select a treasure which will help you score hire in the upcoming levels. Fish Out of Water Tips and Cheats

1) Know what each of the fishies does

• Each fish has a special jumping ability. Knowing these abilities ahead of time can help you pick the right fish in order to achieve the goal for that level.
• Olympus - Olympus is just an all around great fish. He can jump far and get a lot of skips. You can pretty much use him in any situation.
• Finlay - Finlay is a dolphin that likes to go far and dive deep. He's useful for situations where you need a lot of distance.
• Rocket - Rocket the arrow head fish likes to skip a lot. He's useful for situations where you need a lot of skips.
• Micro - The whale with the ironic name. Micro loves to fly high in the air. He's good for scoring a lot of distance points, but not great at skipping.
• Errol - Errol the puffer fish loves to bounce. Give him a good throw and he'll bounce from wave to wave all day. He's great when you're trying to accumulate both skips and distance.
• The Brothers - I'm not really sure what's going on with the brothers, but there's four of them. They give you a lot of skips but not really a ton of distance.

2) Know the judges

• Just like each fish has different abilities, each judge has different things they're judging you for.
• Distance Dorothy - This orange crab wants to see your fishies jump as far as they can. She doesn't really care about skips.
• Reasonable Re - This pink crab likes a well rounded fish. He takes into account skips, weather, and distance.
• Skippy Steve - Skippy Steve is a blue crab who only judges you based on your number of skips. He also takes the weather into account.
• Nice Natalie - Nice Natalie, the sweet green crab, is just a nice gal. You can always count on her to give you a good score!
• Hard to Please Harwood - This red, mustachioed crab is pretty much the opposite of Nice Natalie. He will pretty much always give you a bad score. Don't take it personally.

3) Pay attention to the weather

• This game has dynamic weather that's changing every five minutes. The weather really affect the way your fish perform, so be wary of it!
• Generally, fish will perform better in nice weather and worse in crappy weather. The weather report at the top right corner of the screen will tell you the weather forecast and exactly when the weather will be changing. If you know your fish don't perform well in the rain, then you can just look at the forecast to see when it will be sunny again and wait to play the game until then.
• Check the direction the wind is blowing by looking at the flag on the beach. You don't want the wind blowing against your fish, it will just slow them down and they won't go as far.

4) Don't forget to use the boosts!

• There are little yellow suns above the water every time you jump. When you hit them, you collect them and they help fill up your boost bar.
• Boosts will help the fishies jump farther and go faster. You activate the boost by holding down the boost bar for as long as you want the fish to be boosted.
• Try to us your boosts at the beginning of the jump, when the fish is still fresh.Using a boost on a tired fish won't make much of a difference.

5) Use the Black Charm fish

• IF you combine a black body charm with a black tail charm, you get the black gem fish. Unlike other gem combinations, you actually get to toss this fish and use it during gameplay.
• The black charm fish is like a super duper mega fish. It splits into three fish, like the brothers, it goes really far, like Finlay, and it has a ton of skips.
• Don't forget to use boosters with the black charm fish to make it even more awesome.
