Catapult King app (free) allows users to live their fantasies of being an ancient hero that rescues a distressed princess from a fire-breathing dragon. Set among mystical rolling mountains, Catapult King is strikingly similar to the popular physics-based app Angry Birds. Use your catapult to hurl boulders into 3D wooden towers populated by the Nasty Knights guarding the evil dragon and ensue as much damage as possible. The fewer boulders you use to knock down the Nasty Knights, the higher you will score.

As all other games in this genre, the first few levels of Catapult King are relatively easy, but as you progress the levels get exponentially harder. Luckily, you can use magical power-ups to help win high scores. You are able to access magic to “enchant” your catapult by completing levels. Catapult King’s three magic spells include “Aim Arrow,” “Earth Shock,” and “Lunar Strike.” The Aim Arrow power-up allows you to see your boulder’s path, indicated by sparkling blue stars, before it is thrown. The “Earth Shock” power-up creates an earthquake-like shock effect that destroys everything in your path. The Earth Shock can take the Nasty Knights and their castle out in one shot, but you must make sure all the Nasty Knights are in range or else they will remain teasing and taunting. When you fail to crush the Nasty Knights, their mocking laughter is quite unbearable, so let us suggest turning off your sound before playing Catapult King.

Chances are you already know how to play Catapult King if you are familiar with other physics-based apps such as Angry Birds, Tiny Wings, etc. This makes Catapult King a nice and easy game to just pick up and start playing. Enchanting graphics featuring rainbows, butterflies, and menacing dragons make Catapult King spice up the app genre.
