Different Bird Types
Red Birds – The red angry birds are your standard birds that don’t do any tricks. The higher you launch the red birds the more damage they will cause.
Yellow Birds – The yellow birds give you a speed boost when you tap the screen. Because of the speed boost, yellow birds are best used for long distance.
Black Birds – The black birds explode when you tap the screen or upon landing. Black birds cause the most damage out of all the Angry Birds.
Blue Birds – The blue birds break into three birds when you tap the screen. Blue birds are good to use when destroying an obstacle, such as glass. If you tap your screen right before you hit the surface, the blue birds will break into three and destroy the surface.
White Birds – The white birds will drop an egg on the pig when you tap the screen. When the white bird drops the egg is accelerates at 45 degrees so that you can aim low and then launch upwards through a pig.
Green Birds – The green birds are boomerang birds so you can launch them right into the structure and it will cause extra damage.
Basic Tips and Strategies
1 – Pinch and zoom to look at the whole level before you begin. The whole level is not on screen at once so you must do this first to gauge your distance from the target.
2 – Try to identify the weak spots in the structure before beginning. There is always one weak spot that you need to hit in order to beat the level and get three stars. Most of the time the weak spots are on the bottom of the structure, but sometimes they are on the top and need to be hit from above. Hit from above by pulling your bird down low.
3 – Use the trail of dust left behind the birds as reference for your next shot. If you need to go lower than your previous shot, don’t pull the bird as low on your next try.
4 – Use reference points. When you are pulling back your sling and while your birds are launched make note of the background as reference points in case you need to sling again.
5 – Aim for more destructible material, like wood, instead of sturdy material like stone.
6 – Getting three stars requires extreme accuracy, so if you mess up a shot restart right away. There’s no use in continuing the whole level once you have already lost a star, and unused birds automatically give you 10,000 points each.
7 – Always take advantage of and hit the TNT and bounce pads
8 – Always wait until the level stops moving and the bird disappears to take your next shot. You might miss something and if you happen to hit your bird then your shot is significantl
