QR Reader for iPhone and Android are apps that read QR codes, or Quick Response Codes.  QR Codes are unique bar codes that can be found on a variety of consumer products.  Recently, QR codes have been a popular choice in enhancing marketing campaigns.  You may have seen QR codes on advertisements, billboards, catalogs, artwork, and in a wide variety of promotional material.

How To Use QR Reader

The QR Reader apps allow you to scan QR codes in order to learn more about a product, business, or campaign.  These applications are easy to use, requiring users to simply open the application on their iPhone or Android, face the camera at the QR code, and press to scan.  Once your QR Reader scans the code, the app will reveal the information stored in the QR code.  The user then has the option to save this information if desired.

Users are also able to make their own QR codes with the QR Reader app.  Your own personal QR code can contain information such as a web URL, phone number, text, event, Facebook or Twitter profile, or YouTube video.  With your own QR code you can even replace your traditional business card!
