In Eras of Alchemy, a meteor shower has crippled the Earth. Most of the planet’s organisms have become extinct. Before the catastrophe, a failsafe was installed. It was called the Holographic Earth Revival Alchemist, or H.E.R.A for short. The gamer’s objective is to aid H.E.R.A revive the Earth’s species. To assist, gamers pair two organisms together in order to create new species.
Players start with a few basic organisms. They’ll then try to make matches. Once matched, a new species is created. From then on, you’ll be able to use that new organism to match with existing ones. To match, the player drags the organism icons and places them on two juxtaposing alchemy pods. If it’s a match, a new species will be revived. If it’s not a match, nothing will happen.
The Eras of Alchemy screen is divided in two. The alchemy pods and habitats are at the top of the screen. The map key of all the organisms is at the bottom of your screen. On the map key, if the organism is colored-in, you have already created it and can use that organism to create other species. By tapping a colored-in organism on your map key, that creature will float to the habitat. From the habitat, you can then drag that organism to the alchemy board and use it to make matches.
The darkened fossils on the map key are species that you haven’t revived yet. If you click on a darkened fossil, a riddle appears. This will help you guess that fossil’s ancestry. If you’ve accumulated enough wisdom coins, you can unlock a hint about that creature’s parents’ habitat, trait or the ancestor itself.
Match all the lower leveled organisms. After, another meteor shower will occur. You’ll then try to pair new more advanced lifeforms.
- Tip 1. If the habitat gets too congested, hold down on an organism and it will disappear.
- Tip 2: Tap on the garbage icon. This will clear the entire board quickly. It’s useful if the habitat gets too populated.
- Tip 3: You collect wisdom coins with every match. If you’re really stuck, use these wisdom coins to unlock tips.
