8 Ball Pool Tip #4: Stick to Your Own Balls
- Again, this is a rule that veteran players will already be aware of but which may confound some newbies. You must hit one of your own balls first when taking a shot.
- If you are trying to sink stripes and hit a solid with the cue ball first, it’s counted as a foul just like a scratch or a mistaken hit of the eight ball.
8 Ball Pool Tip #5: Look For Trick Shots
- If your balls are blocked by your opponents’ or the eight ball, try to bounce the cue ball off the sides of the table to get at them and put away a ball from a different angle.
- While these shots are more difficult to land (since you can’t see exactly what path the struck ball will take), you’ll also unlock achievements for pulling them off.
