8 Ball Pool Tip #2: Break Hard
- The break is the first move in pool, but it’s also one of the most important. It can determine the entire outcome of the game. The game will randomly determine which player is to break so there’s no unfair advantage, but everything after that is up to you.
- You want to scatter the balls all over the table to give yourself a chance to sink one of your balls as soon as possible. If the balls are bunched up like in the example above, you’ll have trouble, friends–right here in River City.
8 Ball Pool Tip #3: Avoid the 8 Ball
- Those of you who are pool-hall pros will be rolling your eyes here, but for players who are new to the traditional rules of pool, the eight ball is the last one to be sunk. You can’t sink it until the last move of the game.
- Accidentally sinking the eight ball in the course of your turn will end the game immediately. Even hitting it with the cue ball first will cause a foul. Be careful around this black beauty!
