In Republique, you play an invisible aide to the main character, Hope, who has been imprisoned by a totalitarian government. They're going to hurt her and "reeducate" her--unless you can help Hope find a path to freedom. Navigating your way through this gorgeous new mobile game for iPhone and iPad is tough without Republique cheats. Can't figure out a puzzle? Take a step back, relax, and consider some of these general Republique cheats and tips before continuing.

Republique Cheats #1: Always Be Hiding

• Hope is very vulnerable. She can easily be recaptured if discovered. Make sure she's hiding in a secure location as often as possible. While she's hiding safely, clear the path ahead.
• Find Hope a hiding spot and tap it. Did a green crouching icon appear? If so, Hope will crouch behind the object when she arrives. This is ideal.

Republique Cheats #2: Use Your Tools

• It's easy to forget that you have more tools at your disposal than just cameras and the ability to open doors. When in OMNI mode, you can look at many other pieces of information.
• Chief among these is the map, which is essential for keeping your bearings. If you ever get lost, use the map or tap "Find Hope" to reorient yourself.

Republique Cheats #3: Look Everywhere For Items

• Items are extremely important in Republique. They allow Hope to survive longer against the host of fascist enemies that would harm her.
• Many items are single-use only, like pepper spray. You'll need to find as many as possible to get past some obstacles.
• Look for locked boxes in random rooms to increase your arsenal. You never know what you'll find. Rumor has it there's a cache of tasers somewhere...
• You can also try picking guards' pockets. Wait until they're facing the other direction. You can also blind them with pepper spray). Be careful!

Republique Cheats #4: Mind Your Battery

• Most actions you'll take in Republique are "free." They won't cost your device any battery life. However, that's not always the case.
• When unlocking some doors or boxes, you'll use up a bar of battery. Make sure your battery doesn't die! Keep checking on it in the top right corner. If it dies, all of the Republique cheats in the world can't save Hope.
• You can tell if something will drain your battery by looking at the bottom of its icon. These actions will usually be colored red in OMNI view.

Republique Cheats #5: Look For Notes

• Many notes and papers are scattered throughout Republique. They're indicated by orange squares in OMNI view.
• Some of these notes merely contain world-building content. However, others will have codes and passwords written on them. No matter what, always read notes! They can give you valuable information more detailed than these Republique cheats.
• For extra fun, you can also read guards' ID papers while in OMNI view. These will contain pictures of people who helped the Republique project on Kickstarter. Give these guys a hand--and watch out for the ones with dissociative personality disorder.
