Eighty Eight is simple once you understand the rules. To begin, you start dropping numbered blocks into a grid. If the number on the block matches the number of blocks in the column or row, that block is scored, and disappears. Chains of blocks can be set off at a time; making these chains is a good strategy to scoring more points in Eighty Eighty. Sometimes, you’ll get gray blocks. Don’t worry! Once you score a numbered block touching that gray block, it turns into a gray numbered block. Score again, and that numbered gray block turns into a regular block. Bombs will be your best friend in Eighty Eight; they are crucial to staying alive. When a block is scored in the same row or column as a bomb, the bomb will immediately activate, and all gray blocks surrounding the bomb will turn into numbered gray blocks, and numbered gray blocks turn into regular blocks! By knowing these two strategies, you should be able to quickly score points. Your game is over when the grid is full, or your blocks go outside the grid range.
