Design This Home Application Review and Rating
The perfect application is out for aspiring interior designers and architects, Design This Home by App Minis LLC! Design a beautiful house with the Design This Home app from the ground up! In order to design your home, there are several tasks that must be completed. Complete these tasks, such as design a living room or kitchen by arranging furniture, painting the walls, and installing cabinets in order to earn money, experience and unlock new design options. The ultimate goal of Design This Home is to increase your home level. Every time you complete a task your home level will increase. You will be able to purchase more furniture and design items once your home level increases. Your income will also increase with your home level, and the more stars (experience) an item in the catalogue has, the more it will increase your home value.
Make sure to collect your income money by tapping on the money bag that says "collect now" after your have "accepted" a new design or furniture item for your home. The Design This Home application tells you exactly how much income money and experience stars you will earn from completing a task or purchase.
To being completing your tasks in Design This Home, tap the design button on the bottom right corner and explore through the catalogue in order to make your purchases. Once you have purchased your item, you can wait for delivery or you can pay for rush delivery by tapping the furniture and then "deliver now!" I recommend being patient so as to not use up all your money. Once your furniture arrives, accept the item by tapping the accept button. You can move your furniture later by opening the design menu.
Stay on top of the upkeep of your home. You must clean your home and furniture, and water you plants. Taking care of upkeep will earn you point and experience stars. If you are looking for an easy way to gain more stars, take a picture of Design This Home and share it on Facebook. Design This Home offers several other coin gaining opportunities through social sharing. Design This Home is one of those great "build your own" games and applications. It's a wonderful treat for anyone who enjoys design and this type of gameplay. I only wish that... these games didn't keep you waiting around for long periods of time. If you order several pieces of furniture at the same time, you can complete a task in only a few minutes, but when your home level increases and your purchases are more significant, you are left waiting for hours on end. This slow drawn out quality is not unique to Design This Home when it comes to strategy role playing games. In Bakery Story you are kept waiting a lifetime for a digital carrot cake, and if you don't have more ovens there is little you can do. We want our applications to be realistic visually, but not to the extent that I could have actually cooked a Thanksgiving feast by the time my bakery's pumpkin pie is ready.
Design This Home uses OpenFeint to save your game data, and you will be reminded of this every time you open the application. So if you close out of Design This Home as your waiting for your purchase to be delivered, it will take about a minute to open the application again. Then you will have to deny OpenFeint several times because you can get back to designing your beautiful home. Many applications have started using OpenFeint, which allows app users to restore and save their data if a game is lost. Using OpenFeint can also help you earn rewards, play with friends, identify and challenge the highest scoring user of your application, and develop your "gamer identity" on this "mobile social gaming network." OpenFeint is actually a pretty genius idea considering there is no other leading identity in mobile social gaming that serves these networking purposes. OpenFeint proved social gaming networks for both iPhone users and Android users. Only time will tell if OpenFeint will become a household name. Hopefully my beautiful home will be finished by then.
