Bubble Witch Saga is another game from King Games, makers of Candy Crush Saga. It is available for play on on iOS, Android, or PC. Bubble Witch Saga is not very different from other bubble shooter games, but where it stands out is that it is very well-polished visually. The graphics are smooth and fun. It is stylized in a cute but Halloween-inspired way.
Bubble Witch Saga on Facebook
Bubble Witch Saga is another of the many games that are played while signed in to Facebook. Once logged in, you can get and give help to your friends by giving and receive lives and coins. Each level shows your ranking against your friends’, so you can try to beat your friends’ scores.
Bubble Witch Saga Gameplay
Bubble Witch Saga is one of those games that seems simple, but it is addicting. Like many others of its type, you pop bubbles by matching at least 3 of the same color. You gain points for popping bubbles or dropping them into the jars below. You gain 10 points for groups not including a bubble in the top row, and 15 for groups with bubble in top row. One spider drops down when you make a match, but two go back up when you shoot a bubble that does not make a match. When a bubble bounces on a spider, it increases the score you get when a bubble drop into a jar. This is the one time in my life when I will say that more spiders are better.
Move along map through each level earning stars. Each level has its own number of points you need to earn a star. You can earn up to 3 stars per level. At first, the goal is the minimum of earning at least 1 star, and then it varies on higher levels. You lose one life if you do not reach the goal. You start with 5 lives max, and regenerate lost lives every 30 minutes. You can give and receive lives from friends, but your life counter cannot exceed the maximum.
Bubble Witch Saga Tips
- Bubbles can bounce off of the walls to pop hard-to-reach bubbles.
- When you earn a number of stars, you earn potions. These potions are activated by coins. Take advantage of these to boost your score and earn more stars.
- You get more points for bubbles that are dropped along the bottom, especially when you have a lot of spider multipliers.
Bubble Witch Saga Review
Overall, I’d give this game a 3/5. The point of the game can seem vague at times, and multipliers seem to show up at random. The game is very fun, but it is not very unique. One thing I do like about this game is that unlike Candy Crush Saga, the boosters do not have to cost real money. They are unlocked by earning stars and then activated with the coins you’ve earned throughout gameplay. There are some bonuses you do pay for. For example, if you run out of bubbles, buy 10 more for $1 which is donated to Stand Up to Cancer. Including a charity in your bonus purchases is an admirable move on King Games’ part. It is a definite step ahead from Candy Crush Saga, where all of the bonuses cost real money and no charity was mentioned. But aside from that, the game is well-made and visually interesting, but it is not a game that stands out above all the res
