1.) TripIt
TripIt Travel Organizer is the ultimate stress reliever for those prone to travel induced anxiety. Save yourself some hair and have all your confirmation emails and other important information in one organized place. Frantically searching through confirmation emails is the last thing you need before being frisked by security and then gripping the edge of your seat as turbulence sends your mind racing to unpleasant places. All you do is forward your confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com and it organizes all the details for you. If you are a frequently flyer, consider downloading TripIt Pro ($49/year). It will send you helpful airfare savings and remove annoying advertisements.

2.) Flight+
A real-time flight tracker always comes in handy while traveling. We all know how airlines have a special proclivity towards surprises, but with Flight+ you can stay on top of terminal and gate changes, delays, arrivals, departures, and even seating charts. If you are picking up a guest at the airport, Flight+ is especially useful and lets you avoid waiting at the airport for delayed flights. Equipped with zoom-able maps for real-time flight tracking, weather updates, and world clock integration, Flight+ gives you all the live information you need for a smooth flight. It even automatically syncs to your TripIt account!
Price: $2.99
Requirements: iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Alternative: Flight Aware is a near real-time flight tracker (about 30 minute delay). Flight Aware is a free application and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Android, and Web. (http://flightaware.com/)
3.) Kayak
Kayak mobile is a wonderful all-in-one travel application to find and compare flight, hotel, and car rental rates. Kayak also includes a flight tracker and a place to store your travel itineraries. You can even book your hotel reservation right within the Kayak mobile application. Although the Kayak mobile application is very user friendly, I suggest using this application mainly for flight, hotel and car rental searches. TripIt and Flight+ are the superior applications when it comes to managing itineraries and tracking flights.
